onthefly Posted April 30, 2004 Share Posted April 30, 2004 After setting mine up (2" LS and 2lbs fiji rubble)...I wish I only went with rubble. the sand really does nothing with such low flow and the rubble and macro are the pod factories....so Link to comment
TONK-CATCHER Posted May 1, 2004 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Miracle mud is easy to make..I've had my own mix in 3 tanks, and my dad has the same thing in several of his and it works great.. Find decomposing granite, depending on where you live its very common. I got my last batch where they made a cut in a hill to make a road. Mix in a little peat moss and cover it with a little arragomax to keep the peat from blowing everywhere..Thats been my substrate like i said in several tanks and it is great. Link to comment
