SylvioFN
Are 2 flourescent lights 60 watts each, 6400 k adequate for a 20 gallon high -- for keeping corals??? All other lights I can find heat the tank too much. Anyone please? Aquarium lights are hard to come by in Brazil- Link to comment
GeorgiaJams
Doesn't Rio de Janeiro have over 10million people? There isn't a demand for a fish store there? Should be fine for most corals, but since you have a high tank, put any more light demanding corals at the top. BTW-6400K is going to look really yellow without some actinics. The higher the K, the more blue it gets. 10000K being sort of in the middle, 20000K being really blue. Link to comment
SylvioFN
Hi, thanks for the insight- Rio has EVERYTHING, except demand for fish stuff. The fish stores open up and quickly go out of business. The good thing is that tropical atlantic fish are reallllly cheap here-caught right off the shore. At the moment I have a 100% actinic blue 20 watts 6000k and a 50/50 20 watts 6000k- The other 6400k 60watts will be added on top of the blue ones- that should be less yellow? Or are the combined 40 watts too little to lessen the yellow effect? Thanks again! Link to comment
