HumblePie
I recently aquired a number of SPS frags and on one I found 4 miniscule Aiptasia anemones that I quickly eliminated. However, also on this tiny frag, there was one anemone that looked entirely different than the others. It's almost entirely flourescent green with longer arms and a brown discbase. I am afraid that it may be Aiptasia as well but haven't ever seen any that were green. Anyway, please let me know if I need to go tank diving this evening to remove and send to the porcelain aquarium. Thanks. Link to comment
Tempest
It's an aiptasia. They look like that when they get big. I have one in a 20 gallon FOWLR and have kept it - hasn't multiplied for over 3 months, but that's probably just luck. Your best bet would be to kill it. Link to comment
Sir MArcus
I have 3 of the same anemones. They are definately not aiptasia. I know the come from the carribean. Where did you get your LR? Link to comment
HumblePie
The rock was originally from the carribean. The frag was just added to it some time ago. Link to comment
HumblePie
Well, another source confirmed my fears. It was inded Aiptasia. I just got done digging it (and two more I found) out of the frag. Now I just get to sit back and wait to see if I got all of the little buggers. Link to comment
