very quiet in my tank... smooth movement ..it is about 3 inches out from pump and about 1.5 in diameter ..a little clunky..but my corals seem much happier,,flow has been giving me a hard time lately..this thing goes about a 10 second cycle at full pressure..smaller than hydor unit

I have one in my 8gal nuvo and I can't hear it at all. I could see it making noise if some of the gears weren't seated right, but it's dead silent. Even if I try to listen to it.

does it increase flow or just randomize it?

it just randomizes it

probably a slight reduction in flow,,i have mine attached to a rio 600..it would have been easy to hide it behind a rock set up...see the videos..RIO rated at 200gph

Pretty quiet, had to clean it after 3 weeks, sand got stuck inside some how

i m in my third week using it ..i clogged it with some puffed sand , but easily got it cleared..still silent..my corals really love it...being a noob, i didnt realize how important flow is...thought random flow would be out of my price range...my tank use to be so still, now i have movement all over..my galaxia quivers and gsp has really extended..the palys and zoas totally changed..my sinularia wouldnt budge for months and has really taken off.. i know not all from flow, but it has been a large part of the recent improvements
