GFO or Carbon or Biopellets?

I just purchased a CPR mini reactor and I am not sure what would be best to run.

Does anyone have experience using these diferent types of media?

If you have a skimmer running, I'd go with biopellets.

Biopellets are good for NO3 reduction, but not so much for PO4. You may need to run both if you have high nitrates and phosphates.

Honestly this is kind of a strange question. They are all very very different things. I would not take biopellets lightly. If you are gonna run a ULNS with biopellets I suggest doing some serious research and planning. They can very easily crash your tank if not done properly.

+1 to JDK. In fact, GFO can make your tank crash very easily as well. With whatever you choose, do your research.

With GFO, slow and gradual introduction to your system is key.

Personally, I use GFO/Carbon and never saw the need to mess with biopellets.
