ricky1414
AIPTASIA!!!! Found these guys on my zoo rock. Have since found two on other pieces of LR. Can I do hte hot water method without damaging my pretty orange zoos? Thanks Link to comment
Barry Cuda
I wouldn't try it, if for no other reason than that I'm uncoordinated and would probably inject the wrong critters. You might try some peppermint shrimp instead...if it works, they'll help prevent any future outbreaks in case there are some aiptasia you haven't spotted yet Link to comment
theDude
A peppermint shrimp worked great for my aiptasia. Unfortunately my bicolor pseudochromis likes shrimp more than the formula one I was feeding him . At least he got a chance to finish off the aiptasia first. Link to comment
enrico
You can act depending on where the Aiptasia has its foot. It it is over the Zonathus body just remove it gently with a knife or something like it (Once I had an Aiptasia over my Sinularia...). If it is on the rock get some of the bi-component glue used to attach rocks or hard corals; take a little amount, make the Aiptasia retrac as much as possible and just cover it with the glue. Gone Good luck! Link to comment
