ross76053 Posted August 5, 2002 Share Posted August 5, 2002 Took alot longer than I thought, but turned out pretty well. I used veneered oak, mitered the corners and routed the wood for the base. I'll probably install the PCs and fan next weekend and stain it the following weekend. Question - should I use a bead of silicone around the bottom edge of the tank (where the glass meets the wood) to keep water out? I'm thinking so, but wanted other opinions. As for the bead of silicon... might not be a bad idea, but I would drill a hole or two in the wood just so that it's not a sealed/enclosed space. I could picture water condensing in there or something. Love to see more pics as you set it up. Link to comment
