Is a 15wt 50/50 ok for a 10g

Hi i just bought a 50/50 6,000k 15 watt acentic 03 , for my ten gallon will that be enough for my live rock and coral?

i don't know what kind of coral you are planning on keeping. the 15w might be enough for some brown shrooms and button polyps. i would suggest getting at least a csl 32w smartlite, you would be able to keep a larger varity of corals. they are only about $50 w/shipping from this site.

a 15W give you 1.5 W per gallon of light. I would only keep fish at that amount of light. If you want to get into coral you would need at least 3-5Watts per gallon. What kinda corals were you looking to keep?

This is my aquarium so far I need to get better lites for it i guess i want to keep some neon thins in their im not sure what they are called but ill buy them when i get better lighting

I agree, you need as a very basic rule min. 3watts per gallon of lighitng to keep any coral.

 

Get a better lighting and you can keep some really nice corals.

yea, eddie if u have the money, buy the best lights you possibly can, it may seem like alota money now but ull be muhc much happier in the end. hth

dont go cheap on the lighting man. you cant go cheap on anything in this hobby because it all matters in the end.
