cera Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Ive done a lot of searching on these forums about the biocube protein skimmer and found that most people think that the biocube skimmer is a pos. But after a week of tinkering with it I seem to have got it to work. At first it woudnt skim nothing but push dry air bubbles into the cup, but after numerous positioning of the skimmer and countless adjustments of the air valve it finally works. Would I reccomend this skimmer to someone, NO. If you got it for free like I did then you will have to go through the mental pain of being patient with it. I did upgrade the air pump to a whisper 100, the stock pump sucks.There's not enough power to produce fine air bubbles. I don't have this running in a biocube. I got it in a 10 gallon sump.
