uf_gators Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 I have seen and heard of taking a AquaClear HOB filter, and modding it for a refuge. has anyone used a fluva c3 series, and done the same thing ? picks would be nice or a link. uf_gators Posted January 25, 2012 Author Share Posted January 25, 2012 Hole saw, to fix light into top plate, and silicone top, and bottom. 1/8 lexan w/ 3/8 holes for overflow. and the rest of the filters guts taken out, and filled with approx 1.5 in of substrate, and liverock rubble , and caulerpa. light is a 20watt halogen puck light from home depot (aka under the cabnet light) as a test.
