Derek_setter
okay well it isn't necessarily a nano reef, more like a 75 gallon and i have modified a wet/dry to be a fuge. what algeas and sea grasses would be the best to use in the refugium? lighting isn't a problem but the flow rate is pretty strong. i posted here becuase i usually get better results than other places thanks Derek Link to comment

TroyT
I have Chaeto, Grape Caulerpa, and Halimeda in mine. Link to comment
Reefer_Buddha
i swear by red gracillaria, good stuff and always pods all over it. Chaeto is good too, both wont go sexual Link to comment
Tempest
I wouldn't put halimeda in a refugium since it'll do more to lower calcium than nitrites and nutrients. Link to comment
Undertheradar
I agree with tempest. Halimeda is a calcium leech. Grassiliaria, OTOH, is perhaps my favorite (the green grassy stuff that is sold technically isnt grassilaria...as true grassilaria is red...but for the purposes of this thread, well assume grassilaria as the green stuff).
