Deco Art saltwater "tank"

Hello there, I am new to saltwater and will be putting up a 55g sometime this summer. I guess thats not really a nano, but I have another question and someone refered me here from another forum.

in a local pet store. It has a layer of crushed coral, a tiny piece of live rock with some macro algae stuck on it, and a snail. I thought this was a rather neat little setup, but I was wondering if this was actually feasible. I think I would like one with a hermit crab in it. Someone told me that aiptaisa anemone would flourish in a set up like this. Thanks so much for your help!

Yes!!! Thats exactly it! That one in the picture looks a whole lot nicer than the one in the pet store though.

FWIW, aptaisia anemones are a nuisance anemone. Not really one you want to cultivate.

I think they look pretty cool. What makes them a nuisance? Do they overpopulate and outcompete other inverts? Kinda looks like a freshwater Hydra.

So, would they hurt LR, like if all I had was those and like a hermit crab? I like them. They seem like tenacious little buggers.
