donna68
Hello, My tank has been set up for 4 days now. For the past 2 days I noticed tiny white particals floating all over the tank and on the surface of the water. There not bubbles there smaller then that. The only way I can describe... looks like dust floating all around my tank. Is this normal for a new tank. We used curred live rock. We did a water test 2 days ago and this is the results: Temp 80 Ph- 80 alk- 6 meg/L Nitrite- 2.5 nitrate- 0 Ammonia- .1 Phosphate -.02 silicate 2 mg iodine - .01 iodide- .01 calcium- 420 mg Thanks Donna Link to comment
Korbin
Its probably just sand. Sometimes it takes awhile for backteria to gather on suspended particles and make them floc together. Either that or something weird is going on and precipitating out of the water. Can't image what though. sure hope your pH isn't 80. Link to comment
