1.0reef
I might get a BC14 and want a pair of fish to breed in it, my choices are... Banggai cardinalfish or B/W or Picasso clownfish. Thanks Link to comment
altolamprologus
Go with the cardinals. They're the ones going extinct. Plus no larval stage Another reason to breed cardinals. They have sparkles. B!tches love sparkles. Link to comment
neuwave
I say go for cardinals. Already so many people breeding clowns. Link to comment
tinctorus
Cardinals are fun to breed and really cool to watch them hold the babies in there mouths and them spit them out when they are ready, Plus the babies eat brine when they come out so no special equipment needed Link to comment
smitty_1280
I'm just partial to clowns lol. Everybody else made great points though. Link to comment
syngnathus
I have a pair of cardinals i am working with in a 29 (no luck yet). Is 14g enough room for them though? Link to comment
Euphyllia
I switch my vote to cardinals actually... That's something different and unusual. Plus, it may actually be easier, and that is a species that REALLY needs to be captively bred by hobbyists. This species is becoming endangered in the small part of the oceans where they are found. Find a pair (preferably captive bred) and get to making babies!! Link to comment
1.0reef
Thanks for the replays, I want the pair on DD. I think a 14 gallon BC is large enough, I mean people keep pairs of clownfish in them. Link to comment
mmcguffi
+1 picasso clownfish breed em and make all your money back no prob plus their husbandry is very well documented making it easier/more reliable ...also you get that sense of mystery on what patterns the offspring will have!
