specific gravity question ?

I top my water off everyday. I test in the morning it is 1.024 and after i top off i test in afternoon it reads 1.023. When i get up the next morning it is back to 1.024 will this have a bad effect on my tank critters ? AS of now i only have 5 blue leg hermit crabs .

In the future i want to have some hardy corals and a small fish .

Yeah bro, that type of fluctuation is alright. Its great that you only have .001 fluctuation. Alls it is, is the evaporation, salt stays in water gets out, salinity gets higher, generally if you get a fluctuation from 1.022 to 1.026 you should be alright.
