dead polyps in colony, what do i do?

I picked up a very inexpensive colony of what were labeled 'Yellow Polyps' the other day. This colony has a patch of what appear to be dead polyps and I am curious what the best way to remove them is going to be. Bear in mind that this colony was introduced yesterday, and all polyps have fully opened except for this patch.

I would wait more than a day before considering them dead hehe. It may take several days or even longer for everything to open up. I would check for nudis in that area that may be munching on them however.
