snostorm
I was told in the chat room that using a filter with a biowheel wasnt good because it will promote the production of nitrates. Has enyone had this experience? Link to comment
adam2373
It varies from tank to tank. I have been using a Penguin Bio-wheel 125 in a 20 gal reef for about 8 months now with 25#'s of LR and 35#'s of LS. I haven't had any problems. Just keep up the usual water changes and use your best judgement. If it dosen't work for you just get a new filter, bio-wheels don't cost very much. Link to comment
