KansasCoral-Nu-B Posted March 31, 2004 Share Posted March 31, 2004 I was at the LFS and had been watching a Condy there for a few months now. the other day i noticed it had literally flipped its self inside out. now i know they close but this was completely inside out.. anyone ever heard of this before? Reefmaniac Posted March 31, 2004 Share Posted March 31, 2004 They suck their tentacles inside for a variety of reasons: Defense, waste expulsion, etc. By pulling the tentacles inside, anemones are expelling water from their bodies, getting rid of wastes and/or keeping their tentacles from being munched on. He was probably "taking a dump" for lack of a better term. Link to comment
KansasCoral-Nu-B Posted March 31, 2004 Author Share Posted March 31, 2004 i've seen them pull their tenticals in.. this was different. his tenticals were still out. it was like he had flipped him self inside out thru the mouth hold instead of pulling his tenticals in. the tenticals were out but on the sides of him were the little white curly things you see inside of them. seriously inside out. not just closed up.
