tinyreef Posted March 31, 2004 Share Posted March 31, 2004 bump the nitrogen cycle starts with the appearance of ammonia. the articles in the info section goes over some of this but the hobby books are probably an easier read/reference imo. when and the intensity of the ammonia will depend on what/how much organics/bio-matter was there to kickstart the cycle. check after a couple of days and you should probably see significant ammonia. hth Link to comment
