80 litre nano tank

Hi...

 

I'm going to be starting an 80 litre nano reef soon , the tank that i'm looking at will cost me around $365 au..(Australian Dollars) , What sort of Substrate would be the best , i did have a marine setup a few years ago and i was using shellcrit for the substrate. so now i want to get back into it again..

 

This tank is an Acrylic cube and comes with light hood and inbuilt biofilter, i was looking at it again today and i may have a problem in putting in a protien skimmer.because of the canopy.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Well its now going to be a jebo 70 litre with trickle filter.. , i just have to get the money for it...., i'll let you all know when i finally get the tank...
