clown1
Does anyone use a incadesant hood and replace the incadesant bulbs with the 20 watt screw in PC's? Link to comment
SaltyDawg
I have seen it but only on tanks thats house nothing more than mushrooms. Also never on anything greater than 7 gallons. Link to comment
qfour20
I have an AGA 10 with 2x 20w Coralife 50/50 PC screw in bulbs. It's not anywhere *NEAR* enough light for more than shrooms and my little zoo rock, but I've been working on my custom 70w MH + 2x36w PC Actinic for quite a while. I would not in any way consider the screw in lights a permanent solution, but it would work just fine for letting your tank grow out while you figure out what you want to do for *real* lighting. Hope this helps. -q Link to comment
daFrimpster
Echoing what qfour20 said. I had 2 of the 20 watt screw in lights on my 10 gal. I have replaced it with a CSL 2 x 40 moonlite. Much better IMO Link to comment
