HI, I found my LR has 3-4 of this kind of worms. They come out when the light is off. They normally live in those small holes on the LR and will come out (for food?) when the light is off.

They are about 1 inch in length and about 1mm wide. The worm's color is as shown in the picture.

What is this worm??

Thanks

Its common name is "Peanut worm" . I have no Idea what the scientific name is. It will not harm anything at all. When they get bigger they will turn pinkish tan and develop dark tiger stripes. They will build a tube like a feather duster and come out of it untile they out grow it. then they will just wander around the rock.

Hey I have a ton of those worms. You should check out your tank in the middle of the night you'll see a bunch of them eating poop or lookin for something to eat. They don't seem to be doing any harm to my tank. Some of them get pretty long!

Hi SaltyDawg,

I think you got it!

One of the worms does have black stripes/bands and it is named "zebra worm" by my family.

It is good to know they are not harmful.

Thanks for all the replies!
