grmoore Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 I made a purchase of 3 macro algaes from LA Reefs via eBay and I thought I would post my experiance here. I ordered 2 pieces of Red Grape (Botryocladia) and one frag of Spotted Rose algae from them on Thursday evening, and requested they don't ship until Monday to avoid any delays due to Hurricane Irene or USPS delivery on Saturdays. The sent me a tracking number late Sunday night and the shipment left their location Monday morning and arrived yesterday, Wednesday. Priority Mail shipped in a Tyvec envelope covering a Priority Mail box. Macros were individually packed in neat double bagged, heat sealed units. The only minor problem encountered was the Spotted Rose frag had broken off of the plug during shipping. A dab of super glue gel fixed that right up. All 3 specimins were in great shape, and one of the Red Grape macros had a holdfast to a small piece of rubble. Overall, I was pleased with LA Reefs efforts. Link to comment
