GobyMan
Just noticed this the other day on a piece of LR...there are two other "pods" on the other side of the rock now... Link to comment
GobyMan
Straight on shot....I obviously need to get a tripod for my new toy.. Link to comment
Dave ESPI
looks like a perriwinkle or a sea squirt. I assume that is caribian live rock? perhaps it is a young budding coralite..... Link to comment
Crakeur
I have something similar in my tank. They are red and orange and look like some form of sponge. there is one massive one with lots of smaller ones. I will get a pic when I take new ones. Unfortunately, my largest one is blocked by my leather coral but I can prolly move it for a good shot. I wish it was more visible as it is really kind of pretty. Link to comment
tyoberg
It's botrycladia--red bubble macro (totally unrelated to valonia). I have them in epidemic proportions now. Might be a good one to get rid of. Nothing seems to eat it very much--emerald crabs, short spine urchin. Ty Link to comment
GobyMan
Hmm, I don't think it is botrycladia--I just looked at some pictures I found around the net and it really doesn't look like it. There is no stem and it is completely attached to the rock...I'm going to try and get a better close up picture. Link to comment
tyoberg
It's a dead ringer from my point of view. Link to comment
