RESONANCE
Hi John, I was just wondering if chitons (Acanthopleura Spinosa) and cowrie snails will eat bubble algae if there's nothing else to eat? Also are chitons carnivorous in the sense they will eat dead animals? Thanks. Link to comment
johnmaloney
I am not familiar with that species of chiton, so I am not sure. I think if there is a chiton species that is omnivorous, it would eat sponges and other sessile small non stinging inverts. They don't have the mobility to compete in the scavenger market. I didnt find deer or measled cowries to be that effective on it...cowries are omnivores. Link to comment
