Euphyllia
I notice some red/pink algae growing on a grate in the bottom of the second chamber of my BioCube 29 HQI. I found some on my Chaeto too. This bit was moved to the BioCube 14 of mine because I have lots of chaeto in my BioCube 29 HQI already. On the grate it was growing in a clumb and was like a bunch of soft toothbrush bristles, but I siphoned it out. This may be the same stuff. This is tangled around the chaeto in some areas and won't come off, but if you break the chaeto apart it will kinda rub off and squish between your fingers Any ideas what it could be? Link to comment
Arkayology
+1 cyano. You need more flow and have too many nutrients in the tank. Do a google search on how to take care of the cyano problem. Link to comment
Euphyllia
It's not cyano. I know what cyano is like. This is more spongy. I meant to add that I know it's not cyano, but I forgot. I am aware that I have (had) a nutrient export problem. I have no algae growing on the glass or the sand anymore and my birdsnests are kinda upset so I think the nutrients dropped quickly because of the chaeto. Link to comment
