DLeAnnM Posted March 18, 2004 Share Posted March 18, 2004 I had two red-earred sliders (hatchlings) in a 29 gallon tank for approx 6 months. I would like to know if I should use this 29 or if I should buy a new one? I did use some type of waste degrader in the tank, but that was the only chemical and I used it for a short time. Has anyone been successful doing this? I am considering just buying a 20L cuz I really like the looks of those. Link to comment

Posted March 18, 2004 Share Posted March 18, 2004 >Has anyone been successful doing this< i dont see why not. you mean you want to convert it to a fish tank? if so then i don't see a problem with it. just make sure you have all the proper equiptment for it. and since you added those chemicals i would first clean the tank with one part vinegar and two parts water. (hot water not boiling though) to rid the tank of most of the chemical. and while you do that also scrub the walls and crevices of the tank for added protection. Link to comment
