ravenlot Posted March 16, 2004 Share Posted March 16, 2004 I'm thinking about getting actinic power compacts to supplement my 70W MH. I know the general rule is "the more light the better." But really, is getting two 32w actinics significantly better than getting just one? Here's the other thing. My previous setup had 2x24 PC. I never see 24w PC for sale. Can I just stick a 28w PC in it or is that a bad thing? The ballasts look kinda cheap - just some electrical components dipped in some sort of black plastic coating to prevent electrical shorts, i.e. no housing. Do I need to buy new ones?
