Zeke Posted March 16, 2004 Share Posted March 16, 2004 I'm on my 4th day of cycling my 5.5 gal w/ 5 hermits. LRs were "cured" for 1 week in a bucket. Question: Do hermits have much bio load? I've noticed they crap a lot and constantly eating (not sure what they're eating, but they are always munching on something). Oh, and one of my hermits lost an eye to a hitchhiker crab, which I successfully took out Link to comment
seabass Posted March 16, 2004 Share Posted March 16, 2004 If you are talking about a small reef safe hermit crabs like Scarlet Reef Hermits or a Blue Leg Hermits, then they do not add much to your bio-load. Make sure that you don’t overfeed (if you decide to feed them at all). I feel sorry for the critters and drop in a small amount of Formula Two for them every couple of days. Link to comment
