Boomerblaster
Hey everyone! I got my 20 gallon TBS package about a couple of weeks ago. It is doing well< and i just realized that i have about a 4 clam? Not sure... but i have noticed three big piles of tiny sand particles. They are very noticeable b/c most of TBS LS is shells and rubble. Does anyone have an idea of what is making these tiny piles?? One is actually quite large, about the size of a 50 cent piece? Thanks everyone for your help! -Jonathan Link to comment
Boomerblaster
The piles are made out of the tiny bits of the sand. It really stands out because there are hundreds of shells and large grain sized pieces of sand, and then there are mounds of the little tiny pieces of sand that you don't see too much of. But it definately is the sand. Just the smaller bits of it. As dumb as that all sounded. -THanks!! Jonathan Link to comment
onthefly
Could be pods digging burrows...... Spagetti worms usually bring sand grains around them, instead of excavating sand from within.... I've seen my bristles make piles of smaller sand "bits".... Try watching the tank at night and see if you can see the critter. Link to comment
