Best placement of featherduster?

So, Im just planning out one of my tanks on paper to work out what Im eventaually going to have in there and wondering what the best placement of a featherduster is going to be.

Do they like highflow, lowflow, mediumflow, more light, less light, what?

Can the worm move on it's own? So if you place it in the tank somewhere and it doesnt like it, will it move to where it wants to be? Can they build a new tube? or will their tubes keep getting bigger with age?

Thanks,

Here is my experience. They don’t like high flow, but they are filter feeders, so they get food from the current (so I’d say medium flow). I feed my tank Golden Pearls.

I find they like to bury themselves in fine sand. Yes they can move a little (mostly if something is preventing them from opening. I had some coral frags that where temporarily in its way and it ditched its tube, moved, and created a new tube. I’ve also heard that they can ditch their crown and grow a new one.
