johnmaloney
probably the young sprouts of an ulva species. they feel pretty much like a lettuce right? not velvety or spongy? There isnt any geometric patterns on the surface of the leaves? Link to comment
RESONANCE
If it's ulva, very cool. What type of live rock is it? I think I need to go hunt for some new live rock now . Link to comment

yoshii
It doesn't look at flexible as uvla, the texture looks different too And look at the growth pattern, it has parts of it "branching up" One thing for sure, it looks awesome Link to comment
johnmaloney
yeah it could definitely be something else, it is hard to tell from the picture. it is really small though, this is a pretty magnified pictured it looks like a leafy green starting out. Anadyomene/Microdictyon (sp?) species have that look, are a bit thicker and can be distinguished by noticable patterns on the top of the leaves...if it is spongy I was thinking maybe something like codium repens or something along those lines. Maybe a verdigellas species? they are probably in between the texture of codium repens and ulva species. see google: http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Fe...920&bih=863 Link to comment
