RedWinger
I was wondering if the type of piping used to plumb the sump matters. I have plenty of the plastic gray conduit sitting around I can use but it appears that most people use the white PVC pipe. Also, can Marine Goop be used in the construction of the sump. Thanks in advance. Link to comment
Korbin
The gray stuff is probably HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene) I think. Close enough. I wouldn't use marine goop. The word marine doesn't mean its reef safe. I think regular PVC cement is non-toxic once it's dry, but I'm not sure. I used vinyl tubing and hose barbs on my connections. It was just easier for me. Physh1
The pipe you have will be fine and like mentioned just used standard PVC cement.... Cameron Link to comment
