BKtomodachi
Someone on another forum uses the screw-in type flourescents on their coral frag tank and says that they work great, she uses a 65000k bulb, and gets good growth. Thoughts? I just thought It could work if I hang it over my nano, and maybe add a 12" actinic to the regular fixture. Link to comment
1fish2fish
A number of people here have used them with pretty good results. Use the search tool and you will find what you are looking for. I think you mean 6500 k as well. Link to comment
BKtomodachi
oh lol 6500k would be a bit different, now wouldn't it! Every time I type that number on a forum, I put on an exra zero.... who knows! Link to comment
BKtomodachi
Also I could not find anything about anyone using 65 watt bulbs, only 10 watt and stuff, which is different that what I am looking at. Link to comment
1fish2fish
There are some people using hte 19 watter from Home Depot. I was going to order some 42 watt screw in 6500 k bulbs, but I ended up going with two 13 watt 50/50's. The water depth in the tank they are going over is only 4 inches or so though. 1000 lights has the 42 watt bulbs as well as a range of lower watt bulbs. Link to comment
