voigtstr
the question is probably done to death... Ive been buying bits for the tank bit by bit... still need to get a heater and light, and some containers to collect natural sea water in... How many other beginners have started off without a skimmer... or should I bite the bullet now and get a remora pro hang on skimmer.. Its for a 2 x 1'3 (high) x 1 tank Link to comment
Physh1
I'd do a search for it....you'll see all the pro's and con's which you can then form your own opinion:D Cameron Link to comment
Roadrunner
If u are going to have a heavy bio-load then a skimmer is advisable. Having no skimmer means u always have to feed your animals in the right dose or the amino-acids will enter the nitrification proces wich eventually will produce NH3(NO3;NO2), which u dont want in your tank. Note that there are plenty people on the board that dun use a skimmer and have a "healthy" tank. In stead of a skimmer you could also use a fuge instead. Link to comment
