fboye
Greetings, I am a brand new Aquarist and just purchased/setup a Nano Cube on Feb 29. After several trips to the Store, I now have live sand and about 6lbs of LR. Yesterday, I noticed that there are some tiny little white creatures roaming around and setting up shop on my rocks. These guys seem to be constructing homes from the holes in the rock and I can see that they have built 'Walls" in front of their homes. OK here's the question: Copepods? Good guys, bad guys? There are also a couple of fanworms hanging out as well. This is a terrifc hobby. I should have done this earlier! Thanks for your time Link to comment
TroyT
Get more LR. One pound per gallon is a good rule to use. Maybe a little more. Use you judgement on how it will look in your system. Those "bugs" are good guys. Link to comment
fboye
Thanks Troy. I'll grab some more next trip! Link to comment
fboye
Off topic but... Has anyone noticed that the JBJ Nano Cube only holds about 7.5 Gallons of water? Link to comment
slickchick
When it is full of 15 lbs of LR and 15lbs of LS it only holds maybe 8 gal. Link to comment
