Hey all, I have has an abundance of this stuff growing lately and it's getting increasingly harder to remove... Need some help !

 

What is this? What causes it? How do I control it?

 

 

I know that's Neomeris in the front but that's not the concern it's easy to weed out.

Yes, I'd guess Sargassum too. Compare images:

I had this once. It was interesting to look at initially, but it has tiny gas bladders that make it float, so eventually I just had to pull it all off the live rock. So, really easy to control - just keep pulling off what you don't want.

I purchased a better pair of tongs and I'm able to remove what I don't want alot easier. I'm still gonna let it grow but I want to control some areas of the tank.
