Hi Fellow nano-goers,

My Nano just turned 1 years old since the water was added back in November 2010. It's been a while since my last post (I've been crazy busy for the last 5 months). We've Finally managed to get some studio-grade pics of the tank.

What's new? In May both my clownfish died from a poor salinity measured waterchange (a lot of people say patience and keeping calm in this hobby are the two most important factors. I would agree, but I would also add being exact in all of your measurements). A lot of my coral are insanely huge now.

So here's a little December sample. More photo's to come soon.

So what do you guys think of the tank to date? Let me know!

Happy Holidays!

Hello Fiesta

Nice tank! Don't you have sump or skimmer ? Also, how do you add calcium and Alkalinity to your tank?

Thanks. No sump, no skimmer.

I used to add Alkalinity with a Alkalinity pH buffer by daily spoonful, but it resulted in a cyano outbreak. Best way to increase the good elements and get rid of the bad is regular waterchanges and patience. The only chemical additive I recommend is Seachems' Prime which helps remove ammonia and chlorine.
