karenhane
what we thought was a dead polyp is a live ? its a small black spot with a very small two-pronged "pincher". Its attached to a branch of a dead coral skeleton with zoo polyps. It looks somewhat like a barnacle. Funny thing tho, it releases a long "hair", which stuff in the water sticks to, and it then reels it in, sorta like a kite string. Then it lets the hair back out. I imagine its eating the things it catches on the hair. It dont move, except for the little pinchers that pull in the hair. The hair is about like a human hair, which is what we thought it was at first. Any guesses? thanks for any and all input....should i keep it? Or kill it? thanks! Link to comment
