I added a mangrove to my fluval edge. I'm kinda tired of taking the top off so I'm thinking of adding mangroves across the front to block out some of the light bar.

Anyway, I don't want to tie them and they fit in the tank as is. Is the placement too low? I know the green part is suppose to be out of the water but some of the green part is under water.

Props to John at reefcleaners for all the nice macros.

Thanks in advance.

The leaves are what go through photosynthesis and give the plant the energy it needs to survive. But the leaves are already above the light source. Not sure how you plan to give it what it needs.

I have 25 watt I think equal to 150 watt daylight PC above the tank. Hamilton Bay desklamp. The mangrove is under it. So as long as the leaves are out of the water am I good?

Ok yeah you should be good! I thought the fluval lighting was the only lights you have. Some recommend that you spray the leaves daily with fresh water and be patient! Best of luck with it!
