Roadrunner Posted March 7, 2004 Share Posted March 7, 2004 I was wondering if this is a sufficient setup for a planned 25G with a relative small bio-load (no fish, to max 2 later on). -Protein skimmer -Powerhead -Heater -No sump/fuge Some people prefer a fuge, some prefer a protein skimmer. What I cant make out however which one is more efficient in the filtration/nitrification process because two different methods are used in the two options. Is there also a need for an additional mechanical filter on top of a protein skimmer? Link to comment
