There's two or three small polyps on the edge of the colony which rarely open and there seems to be algae growing on them. Does that mean it's over for them? Will the rest of the colony be ok? Nishant3789 Posted July 27, 2002 Share Posted July 27, 2002 i dont kno abouyt your button polyps and the algea, but if they are ttrue button poolyps, then the rest of em wont be affected. this is because button polyps arent connected by a mat like seamats, they may be connected at times but only because of budding. so, the answer is nothe rest of the colony should be fine uinless this is some sort of disease that is targeted to button polyps only. nishant Link to comment
