bigbear2k
So I started with a 30 gallon tank with no sump. I had it for a year and loved it. A coworker is getting out of fish and moving to guns... Crazy. He sold me his 75 gallon tank and stand for $350.00. So I took that as a sign for an upgrade. 60 days latter the tank is up and running stable. Whats in the tank :-) Well not much I wanted to go cheap. I may upgrade to corals next year once the tank is well established with better lighting. 75 gallon tank with built in over flow , stand and hood. Marineland LED Double Bright Aquarium Lighting System Also I have the light that came with tank too. The LED's just don't do it for me. Sump used custom 30 gallon capacity (Note I have it hooked up backwards but it still works see photo) Pump is a Cap-2200 Aqueon Pro Heaters Submersible Aquarium Heaters 200W Koralia Evolution 750 with another on the way. 50lbs of base rock from ebay (Only paid $27 and that is with shipping) 10lbs of live rock from my old tank Corallife Super Skimmer 65 (I know its too small for the setup.) Fish and others two clowns one fox face four damsels Two chocolate starfish some hermit crabs, snails Once anemone don't recall the name. one coral banded shrimp chaeto in the sump One emerald crab one porcelain crab I think that is it. Time for some photos. Link to a video http://digitalimprints.smugmug.com/Pets/My...05_bpRgxdW-A-LB Anyway. any suggestions would be great. I am still a n00b at saltwater tanks. Link to comment
wimby
Looks good If you are going to get coral I would get rid of the chocolate chip starfish they eat coral. Other then that it's a good start Link to comment
adam87
Nice tank. I the SWC160 cone would be a good skimmer for your 75. http://www.shop.reeffiltration.com/product...04?productId=39 Link to comment

Going to have to save up a little for that upgrade. Already spent more than my budget this year on fish tank stuff. Link to comment
