Mylar

Just wondering if anyone here has used mylar as reflector material. Apparently it reflects up to 98% of the light radiation that strikes it. I was considering covering the inside of one of my hoods with it. I suppose the only downside is that it will also reflect heat as well, but then all reflectors do that.
