gorgonia eating pods?

Will a gorgonia (yeallow finger) eat pods? We have ours set up directly under the outflow for our fuge and pods come flowing over it all the time. The shock is wearing off on this gorgonian and the polyps are finally starting to come out. Wondering if some of the food intake will be done by our millions of pods, and I can then supplement with a once a day feeding of DT's and brine.

 

I just don't want to feed it twice a day if I don't have to. If it is already getting the food from one source there is no need to put extra bioload into the tank.
