danthenewreefman
You know...walmart algae magnets are $3. Real magfloat ones of a similar size cost $12. I was always too cheap, blah blah blah 3 vs 12. Someone slap me. Just slap me. I write this in hopes I talk someone else out of buying a walmart algae magnet. big ####ing difference. In comparison of function vs cost. The magfloat should be $300, because it is at least 100x better at doing its thing. Link to comment
doppelganger
haha well thanks for letting us know. Maybe u can just use it to hold up a frag rack or a frag or... something Link to comment
danthenewreefman
now walmart algae magnets do work great for that. I've built all my frag racks using them. But in terms of actually doing what they're intended to do... magfloat = Priceless. Link to comment
Dr.eclipse
i use my wal-mart one everyday to keep the soft algae off, once a week i use the good ol' mag-float. Link to comment
joy13
I decided to rip apart one of those wal mart magnets to glue velcro on it instead of the felt. Once I ripped the felt off there was the magnet exposed. I don't know if the magnet would be toxic or not but now I use them as frig magnets. Link to comment
