biomekanic
Hi all, I was thinking of using a mini-bow 5.5 as a refugium on a mini-bow7. drill a bulk head and run a pipe into it, (ala a CPR refugium), with another pipe as a return. add baffles, and have the 5.5 on a platform so there's a gravity return. any thoughts? tinyreef
i don't see why not. i think glazer was running a critter keeper for a fuge. you could even use a bucket. the one pictured in calfo/fenner's new book is a rubbermaid-type container. actually designed for clothing storage, i believe. USFnano
That would work, but why not use something a little cheaper(unless you already have the 5.5). I'm using a 3.5g rubbermaid tub for a fuge for my 10g, well worth the $2 Link to comment
Korbin
Why not use an antique vase as a 'fuge? Whats the point of it being a minibow? Its just gonna be full of algae and scuz anyway. Link to comment
bones_bones
USFnano, have you got any pictures? I've been thinking about the same thing... Link to comment
biomekanic
the point is that I have 2 of them laying around gathering dust... and the hood as is will nicely take a Panasonic 23w 5000K self ballasted bulb that grows chaeto like nobodies business. Link to comment
Korbin
what type of light is the panasonic, just out of curiosity. Link to comment
