It's another brand of liquid calcium oxide suppliment. Seachem, Kent marine, two little fishies and lots of other companies make this type of calcium suppliment.

It's fine to use it. Calcarious algaes love it, but kalkwasser (dry calcium hydroxide) is a better choice for precipitating phosphates out of the water.

Most people these days use a two part calcium/alkalinity suppliment, such as B-ionic, C-Balance or Seachem's reef essentials. One part keeps the alkalinity high and the pH stable, the other part provides liquid calcium/strontium/magnesium and other trace elements to your tank.

Using them properly can help maintain good coral growth. As corals grow, they will depelete these substances from the sea water, so either you can suppliment a little bit or change your water more often. You can find test kits for calcium, alkalinity and pH in your LFS, so you'll know just when to add what suppliment.

As to the brand, yes one of my LFS's carries them, although I prefer seachem and kent marine products.
