More questions about Lighting the refugium

It looks like most people keep their refugium lights on 24/7. Despite a covered back of my tank, there is still some light leakage into the display tank. It looks like the amount one would expect from the moon or a moon light. Would it be best to follow a moonlight schedule? Is there any downside to having some light leakage during the dark hours for my display tank? Am I making this too complicated?

none that i have noticed in 7 months the fish still sleep and the zoo's close and the sps open-up so do not be concerned unless you are using a HOB refugium w/ a 150w+ MH light :)
