Gmoney
I converted my 12g eclipse from saltwater fish to reef.... all it took was red sea prism (using it to clean water from previous inhabitants, then will stick to water changes only)...I removed the biowheel filter and removed the week light it came with, and retrofitted 2 x 32w PCs (10k, actinic).... I have about 20lbs of live rock, and 10lbs live sand. Various color Zoos Frogspawn Green Star Polyps Purple Musroom Brown Torch Coral Candy Cane Coral Purple Mushroom 4 red leg hermits 3 turbo snails Had this thing running as a reef now for 3 weeks, and the zoos are already starting to grow like crazy. Water conditions: SG= 1.024 WT = 78-80 degrees Ca = 410-430ppm I do 1 gallon water change each week, supplement with iodine, ca, and strontium when needed . Feed live DTs phytoplankton every 3 or so days. This tanks is growing like mad....I am getting a 12g via aqua and a nano cube to set up at home, this one is at work.... I get DI water here at work, which makes things so much easier. Link to comment
